You have the opportunity to do it without leaving the country – do you know how?

If you live in Poland and plan to stay here for a longer period, there are several ways to legally extend your stay without having to leave the country.

You can do this by submitting an application for a temporary residence permit to the appropriate Voivode. Here are some suggestions for temporary residence permits you may consider, depending on your situation:

  • Obtaining a temporary residence permit for the purpose of working.
  • Obtaining a temporary residence permit to perform work in a profession requiring high qualifications.
  • Obtaining a temporary residence permit for the purpose of running a business.
  • Obtaining a temporary residence permit based on stay with a Polish citizen.
  • Obtaining a temporary residence permit in order to undertake or continue full-time studies.
  • Obtaining a temporary residence permit based on stay with a foreigner.

Below is a detailed description of the second stage of the service:

Stage II begins after receiving confirmation of submitting a complete and correct application for a temporary residence permit.

  • Answering questions and requests from the office, ensuring the smooth course of the process.

  • Preparation of explanatory letters, reminders, length of the case.
  • Updating documents regarding employment conditions and grounds for stay (if necessary).

  • Supervision of the process of corrections in the decision or residence card in the event of a clerical error.
  • Constant contact with the foreigner by a designated guardian.
RESIDENCE CARD- HOW TO GET? :

The application should be submitted during the period of legal residence in Poland to the Provincial Office competent for the current place of residence. In order to receive a positive decision, the foreigner must demonstrate that he/she has a source of stable and regular income sufficient to cover his/her and his/her family members’ means of subsistence, a place of residence, insurance, and, if he/she wishes to remain in Poland on the basis of employment, the employer must also demonstrate its willingness to employ the foreigner under appropriate conditions.

The waiting period for a positive decision can vary from 3 to 8 months.

WHAT BENEFITS ?

Once the application has been submitted and all the required documents have been completed from the date of application, your stay is considered legal until the date of the final decision. It is worth remembering that the stamping does not allow you to travel to EU countries, but you can always travel to your country of origin, but you should obtain a visa in order to be able to return.

During the period of validity your TRC card along with a travel document you can cross the border without having visa and travel to any Schengen country.
